We Make Selling Books Easy

We have been buying and selling used, rare and antiquarian books for nearly three decades. We have crossed the U.S. dozens of times (the old school way, by car) and have purchased book collections large and small.  We do everything we can to give you the best price for your books and to remove them quickly, efficiently.  

The book world has change a lot in the last twenty years, and the types of collections that we can buy have become narrower. It used to be great fun to buy a collection of 200-500 nice reading books, price them for $10-15 and sell them slowly over the years. Skyrocketing land values in California have made it essentially impossible to hold nice-but-inexpensive books in inventory. Hundreds of California used bookstores have closed forever.

Accordingly, we are forced to focus on the best and largest book collections. The rest, alas, head to the library sale. That said, if you have a large book collection (as in a room full of books), it is always worth checking with us to evaluate the collection. Some readers incidentally collect treasures and it is always a pleasure to deliver that good news.
